BACKGROUND

Back in July 2015, BAM Construction were awarded a £9.3 million project to create the second University Technical College in Sheffield (UTC2).

Sited adjacent to Oasis Academy Don Valley, a primary school and secondary school which was also supported by Howard Civil Engineering, this second educational facility specialises in academic qualifications in human sciences and computing, preparing students for employment in two of the key growth sectors in the Sheffield City Region. It opened in September 2016, and holds up to 600 pupils aged 14 to 19.

Howard Civil Engineering is pleased to have supported BAM again on this site, carrying out the substructure, drainage and external works packages.
