Greengates Junction: A bird's eye view

08 December 2020

Earlier this year Howard Civil Engineering commenced improvement works on Greengates Junction, a notoriously congested major junction in Bradford, on behalf of Bradford Council.

Since mid-2020 our team has been hard at work transforming the junction, and an outline of how the junction will look upon completion is becoming clearer every day.

The project will see Howard Civil Engineering undertake major improvements to the existing junction including widening the existing highway on all four arms of the junction, signal upgrades and a P-loop. Cyclists and pedestrians will also benefit from the scheme with the addition of new cycle lanes, pedestrian islands, and more controlled crossings.

Recent drone imagery taken by local resident Paul Dranks shows the significant amount of progress made to the junction in fewer than six months.
