Traffic Disruption Friday 6th September 2019

05 September 2019

Traffic disruption expected Friday 6th September - change to previous information

(First published Thursday 5th September)

Further to my previous newsletter, published Friday 30th August, please be advised we will now be carrying out the surfacing works scheduled for Friday 6th September, all day, from 7.30am until 7.00pm.

From 7.30am on Friday 6th September we will be installing lane closures around Beechcliffe Roundabout and also on the approach roads to the roundabout to provide us with a safe working zone for our surfacing equipment and operatives, and also to take safe delivery of surfacing material.

This decision has been taken in order to complete the surfacing works in one day.

The roundabout and approach roads will remain open to traffic all day during the works.

We are expecting increased disruption to traffic using Hard Ings Road, Beechcliffe Roundabout , A629 and other approach roads especially during rush hour periods.

Please consider finding an alternative route and allow extra time for your journeys, especially those attending appointments and dropping off and picking up from schools.

Return of Bradford Road Roundabout (B&Q Rbt) to original road markings

It has become clear that the changes made to the road markings to Bradford Road Roundabout, as directed by the Police to reduce traffic disruption, have not resulted in the desired effect.
We will therefore be returning Bradford Road Roundabout to the original layout. This will happen one evening next week.
The date will be published once known.
We apologise for the confusion and additional disruption this has caused.
