You may be aware of the upcoming works to improve Greengates Junction to improve general traffic congestion in the area .
The improvement of the Greengates junction includes road widening to all 4 legs of the junction to increase capacity and reduce congestion.
As you will appreciate this is a complex scheme due to the close proximity of businesses, residents and service providers to the works.
Howard Civil Engineering Ltd of Leeds have been appointed to carry out the road works which are due to commence on Tuesday 14th April 2020. They will last approximatley 15 months.

In order to keep you fully updated with the works and how it might affect you I would like to encourage you to sign up for our regular Greengates Junction Improvements Newsletter.
The newsletters will be published every fortnight and will provide you with information about the on-going works, highlighting periods of potential traffic disruption in order that you can plan your daily journeys or advise your suppliers/customers of such.
In order for us to carry out the works whilst ensuring the utmost safety for both the general public and our workforce, lane closures will be used on both Harrogate Road and New Line with periods of additional traffic control on Sundays and potentially in the evenings or at night.
To ensure the safety of the public there will also be periods when footpaths are diverted around sections of the works. Clearly sign posted diversion routes will be put in place.
