Newsletter 7 First published Friday 22nd May.
Welcome to newsletter number 7 providing you with information regarding the roadworks to Penny Pot Lane.
Progress, the past few weeks
We're pleased to say works are progressing well on the site entrance. The realignment of the ditch and upfilling of the new foot path are both complete, and we have laid the first layer of tarmac to the bellmouth.
The next two weeks
Next week (WC 25th May), we will be installing ducts within the bellmouth footpath for the realignment of the cables. Please observe the pedestrian signage and walkways in place and pass with care. Works are also continuing up the lane as planned with the installation of the surface water pipe work.
Traffic Management plans
The temporary traffic signals at the Persimmon entrance on Penny Pot Lane will be re-established on Tuesday 27th May for a period of 4 - 5 weeks. These will be manually operated between 7am – 7pm. The temporary traffic signals on Penny Pot Lane from Ethelburg Est up to Youngman Drive are still in place for the surface water pipe connection which is progressing up Penny Pot Lane, and will remain in operation for approximately 3 months Please be assured that pedestrian and cycle access through this area will remain open at all times. We would also like to politely remind everyone that the speed limit within the traffic scheme is 30mph. A small number of cars passing our work area have been exceeding the speed limit. This is dangerous for our team on site and members of the public within the vicinity. Your compliance with the speed limit is greatly appreciated.
